Poker run seeks participants, sponsorships
Now in its fourth year, the annual Elvira Poker Run fund-raiser, hosted by the local XL & MM Widows Sons Masonic Riders Assn., is seeking additional participants and sponsors for the Southwest Florida event to support Southwest Florida Masonic Center Charities.
Taking place Saturday, Oct. 22, the run will kick off at Six Bends Harley-Davidson, followed by Sidelines on Colonial Boulevard, City Tavern in downtown Fort Myers, two stops in Cape Coral, finishing up at Bootlegger’s Waterfront BBQ, Main Street, Fort Myers Beach.
“We are currently seeking sponsors from the community. Each will be prominently featured on event merchandise such as T-shirts, posters and flyers, as well as in any other marketing initiatives and materials,” said Zak Bradley, Chapter President of the XL&MM Widows Sons.
Each stop that day will offer special games, prizes and other fun events for poker-runners, with the run wrapping up with a big celebration at Bootlegger’s that evening, with live music, bike games, raffles and much more.
For those wishing to participate in the run, the cost is $20 per rider, $15 per passenger the day of the run, which includes a poker hand and access to all of the special activities at each of the stops. If one registers early, the cost is $15 per rider, $10 per passenger, and cars may participate, as well, with $25 the day of the run, $20 in advance.
All proceeds go directly to the chapter’s philanthropic endeavors with the Southwest Florida Masonic Center Charities.
