Amber Alert issed for missing 9-year-old

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old Fort Myers girl who has been missing since Sunday.

Investigators believe Diana Alvares, last seen in the 3500 block of Unique Circle in San Carlos Park, may be with Jorge Guerrero, 28.

He is believed to be driving a tan Chevrolet Malibu, Florida license plate #78NHD.

Guerrero is described as a white/Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5-foot 5 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds. He has ties to the Orange County and Okeechobee County areas.

Diana, who is Hispanic, is 4’4″, 95 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. She has two scars on one of her legs. She was last seen wearing a shirt, blue bottoms, shoes, and may be carrying a green blanket with flower print.

Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Guerrero or Diana is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 239-477-1000 or 911.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations have increased the reward for information concerning the child and her whereabouts to $6,000. $1,000 is being provided by Crime Stoppers, with the additional $5,000 pledged by the FBI.
