Cape Coral rock show hits Sun Splash Saturday

By Staff | Jan 22, 2016

Local rock station 96 K-Rock will present its inaugural Cape Chaos concert this Saturday on Sun Splash Family Water Park festival grounds.

The Jan. 23 event will feature P.O.D., HellYeah, Nonpoint, 10 Years, Islander, Blue Cross, Avatar, We Are Harlot and Like a Storm.

Following the success of the HellYeah’s blood donation campaign with the American Red Cross around their single, “Blood for Blood,” from the album of the same name, the band is setting out on the road again with a new single, message and story for fans.

This time out, the band partnered with domestic abuse prevention organization No More. In their #HushNoMore campaign, HellYeah has been sending messages of hope and support to survivors of domestic abuse. The band released its music video for “Hush” earlier last year, telling the story of frontman Chad Gray’s personal life experience dealing with family violence.

The Cape Chaos show will be a rain or shine event.

Doors open at 1 p.m., and music starts at 2, going until about 11. No drinks or coolers. Tickets start at around $18. VIP?tickets currently sold out, and refunds not available.

Sponsors include Budweiser and Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee.

Sun Splash Family Water Park is at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral.
