Foundation collecting old American flags
If your American flag has seen brighter days, bring it to the Invest in America’s Veterans Foundation/Southwest Florida Military Museum, 4820 Leonard St, Cape Coral, and the foundation will collect and properly retire them in accordance with the United States Flag Code.
New flags can be purchased for $10 at the foundation / museum.
Ralph Santillo, president of the foundation, said, “It is an honor for us to offer this service to our friends and neighbors.”
The foundation also urges everyone to fly the flag “proudly” on Flag Day, Sunday, June 14.
