Woman charged with sale of synthetic marijuana

A month-long undercover investigation into synthetic marijuana sales resulted in one arrest Thursday and the seizure of more than 165 grams of synthetic marijuana.

Cape Coral Police Department SWAT and Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics Detectives executed a search warrant at 1122 Country Club Boulevard, Unit B at approximately 3 p.m. The warrant was obtained after VIN undercover investigators learned that suspect, Amber Williamson, 21, was manufacturing and selling synthetic marijuana at her residence, according to a prepared statement issued Friday by the CCPD .

“During the execution of the search warrant, detectives seized over 165 grams of synthetic marijuana from the residence as well as chemicals and other paraphernalia for the manufacture, packaging, and sale of synthetic marijuana,” the release states.

Williamson faces charges of Sale of Synthetic Marijuana, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Structure to Manufacture Narcotics, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

She was taken into custody without incident and was later transported to the Lee County Jail.
