Sanibel writer Angelika Geerlof has released a new book. “Sanibel Treasures” is a collection of photographs and poems that she terms as tributes to the beauty of Sanibel.

Geerlof in 2010 also authored “Sanibel Moonscapes” and is working on a third book, she said. Her work is published by Moonscapes LLC. She also has a 2015 “Sanibel Moonscapes” calendar depicting her photography.

“This book,” Geerlof wrote in the forward of her new book, “is affectionately dedicated to those who mean the most to me.”

Photos captured in “Sanibel Treasures” are mostly of wildlife, seascapes, sunrise/sunsets, the writing pensive acknowledgements of the island’s intense highs.

In her new coffeetable book, for instance, she writes:

“I fill the minutes and the hours with busy relaxation,

knowing that at the end of the day, the explosive sunset waits for me!”
