Cape Royal Community Foundation awards grants to seven area charities
The Cape Royal Community Foundation Grant Committee has announced that seven charities have been awarded grants this year.
The awards ceremony was held Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m., at the Royal Tee Golf Course Club House, 11460 Royal Tee Circle, Cape Coral.
The winners are: Island Food Pantry $2,500; Young Artists Awards Inc., $3,800; United Cerebral Palsy of SW Florida, $5,000; Down Syndrome Supported Living Inc., $5,000; Fort Myers Chapter Conkerr Cancer, $1,500; Guardian Angels for Special Pops, $5,000; and For the Kids Foundation, $2,500.
Tom Mitchell, president of the Cape Royal Community Foundation, stated that they have awarded $300,000 in grants and scholarships since the foundation’s inception in 2002.
