tThe motorcycle began to overturn and landed in the northbound lanes of Country Club, before it continued east and struck the curb on the east side of the road. The report states that Cadavid-Velasquez and Sanchez-Castro also continued to travel east, coming to rest in a grassy area.

Cadavid-Velasquez sustained life-threatening injuries due to the crash and died on scene.

Sanchez-Castro also sustained life-threatening injuries and was trauma-alerted to the hospital.

According to the report, Cadavid-Velasquez was driving an estimated 40 mph in a 30 mph zone. Neither he nor Sanchez-Castro were wearing a helmet or eye protection at the time of the accident.

It is unknown whether the crash was alcohol or drug related. The investigation is ongoing.
