Bank of the Islands is returning as presenting sponsor for the sixth annual SCCF Wines in the Wild. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at SCCF’s Nature Center.

“Wines in the Wild is truly an island event, with people reconnecting after a summer break,” said Erick Lindblad, SCCF executive director. “We are grateful to our friends and neighbors at Bank of the Islands for joining with us again this year and for their support of this event and our mission.”

Wines in the Wild features an array of wine and food for tasting. In addition, there are exciting auction packages which feature unique experiences.

“Geoff (Roepstorff) and I have always loved this event, serving on the host committee and helping pour wine at the tasting stations,” said Bank of the Islands president Robbie Roepstorff. “Having the bank become presenting sponsor was just a natural fit within our ongoing commitment to SCCF. We truly love the good work they do to keep our islands such special places for us and for wildlife.”

Reservations can be made by calling SCCF at 472-2329. Tickets are $75 per person prepaid, $85 at the door.

Wines in the Wild is held on the grounds at SCCF’s Nature Center, 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Proceeds from Wines in the Wild benefit SCCF’s operation fund. SCCF (the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation) is dedicated to the conservation of coastal habitats and aquatic resources on Sanibel and Captiva and in the surrounding watershed.
