Survey for local businesses will help determine international business summit topics

By Staff | Aug 27, 2013

Southwest Florida business owners and industry leaders are invited to take a survey and contribute ideas via an online form to help drive the agenda for a Dec. 12 international business summit.

The summit will be designed for local business people who want to get involved in exporting or who currently are, and for those who want to learn the value of international trade for their organization.

The summit will be held at Florida Gulf Coast University, which is an event partner along with the Lee County Economic Development Office and Enterprise Florida.

Organizers want input from the local business community. Go to http://goo.gl/JLVJZR to complete the survey. Questions can be directed to Business Development Manager Brent Kettler at the Lee County Economic Development Office, (239) 338-3161. Sponsors for the event are welcome.

“We believe by organizing this summit, it will draw attention from foreign investment prospects to our region — and our business owners will be more educated and ready to receive them,” said Glen Salyer, assistant to the Lee County manager who is set to be interim Economic Development Director starting Sept. 1.
