Magic pads 8-ball lead

By Staff | Mar 1, 2013

Bathroom Magic crushed Fresh Legion Crew 11-1 in the Sanibel 8-Ball Pool League this week and grabbed a three-game lead over Bunt’s Ball Busters with four weeks of the season remaining.

John Gonzalaz, Terry McCullough and Jack Dalton had perfect nights for the Magic men. Tom Yorgey posted the only win for the Legion Crew.

Deep Pockets held Bunt’s Ball Busters to just two wins in the first two matches, but Bunt’s rallied behind Terry Ricotta’s 3-0 night to steal a lucky 7-5 victory.

Matt Hall, Doc Lubinski and Jimbo Gaubatz had two wins apiece to lead the Odd Balls’ 7-5 win over Sandycappers. Jeff Brown finally kept both hands on his cue and away from his throat to notch two wins for the Cappers over Odd Ball captain Kip Buntrock.

Sanibel Cafe’s John Earle broke out of his two-week slump to rack up three wins in his team’s win over Island Lifers’ Tracy Walters. Joe Mason and Pete Mindel backed him up with two wins each. Chicagoan Steve Gordon showed Cafe captain Rich McCurry how to play the game with two big wins for Lifers.
