Tanger donates to breast cancer fight

The Tanger Outlet Center in Fort Myers raised and donated $3,758 for the battle against breast cancer. Tanger made its donation to Lee County’s American Cancer Society and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event, during a board presentation on Jan. 22.?”Tanger is committed to supporting breast cancer research,” said Steven B. Tanger, president and CEO of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. “I am proud of our Tanger Team members in Fort Myers for their continued hard work in fighting breast cancer and I thank our shoppers for supporting Tanger’s mission to find a cure for this terrible disease.”?Tanger’s 2012 PinkSTYLE Campaign ran Sept. 12-Oct. 25 with funds raised through the sale of the popular TangerSTYLE Pink Card. For a $1 donation to local breast cancer beneficiaries, Tanger customers received a special pink card that provided 25 percent bonus savings at participating outlet stores. ?With its primary mission to help save lives, Tanger’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign creates awareness for the importance of early detection and helps raise the money necessary to support ongoing breast cancer research. Tanger’s campaign also helps fund many important programs and facilities designed to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients. ?Since 1994, Tanger has donated more than $11 million to fight breast cancer nationally. ?Tanger Outlet Center features over 40 brand name and designer outlet stores conveniently located on Summerlin Road two miles from the Sanibel Causeway.
