CCPD charges man for alleged sexual acts with teen
A 60-year-old man is accused of having sexual relations with a Cape Coral teen over a three-month period, including exchanging nude photographs.
Dayne Richard Wilson, of 1679 N. Hermitage Road, Fort Myers, was charged Wednesday with one count of lewd lascivious behavior victim age 12 to 16.
As of Thursday, he remained at the Lee County Jail on $100,000 bond.
On Jan. 11, Cape police responded to a home on Southeast 32nd Terrace about an information report. The teen told officers that he had been having sexual contact with Wilson, who he met in October in a store’s bathroom.
During an interview, the teen stated that he was using the bathroom when Wilson approached him and asked for his telephone number. He said he gave his number to Wilson out of fear and they later began texting one another.
In November, the teen gave his home address to Wilson and he came over when no one else was present. The two went to the teen’s bedroom, where they undressed and took part in sexual acts, according to a police report.
Wilson visited the home twice in November and once in January. Sexual contact occurred in two out of the three visits, the report states.
In the January incident, a relative responded to the home to check on the teen when his parents could not get in contact with him. The teen stated the relative saw Wilson inside the home and he said it was his friend’s father.
Upon leaving, Wilson allegedly gave him $100 as a Christmas present.
The teen told authorities that he and Wilson texted nude photos to each other. He said Wilson stated that he loved him, and that he wished they were the same age so they could go to school together and be together more.
On Wednesday, Cape detectives made contact with Wilson.
During an interview, Wilson stated that he met the teen through a sexually orientated site that people call on their cell phones, according to the report. He said the teen told him that he was 24 years old, and they began texting.
Wilson reportedly stated that he questioned the teen’s age when sent a photo, but he continued to speak with him. Wilson reportedly acknowledged that he and the teen exchanged nude photographs using text messages.
He told detectives that they met at the teen’s home on two separate occasions, the report states. Wilson said they took part in sexual acts.
The teen allegedly threatened to tell police so Wilson gave him $100.
According to the report, Wilson learned of the teen’s age at some point.
He was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.
Wilson has a court appearance scheduled for Feb. 25.
