Holiday Carnival to benefit Temple Beth Shalom

By Staff | Nov 27, 2012

The annual Temple of Beth Shalom Holiday Carnival will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, through Sunday, Dec. 2, at 603 N.E. Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.

It’s free admission and free parking for the event, and unlimited rides wristband will be offered each day.

This year’s fair will feature Modern Midways with over 20 rides and attractions. Among the spectacular rides will be the Giant Gondola Wheel, Fireball, Power Surge and Orbiter. In addition, the midway will feature all the old favorites including the carousel, Spider, Bumper Cars, Yo-yo and a special kiddie land area for the children.

The midway will feature the latest in family games and international food booths, said spokesperson Brian Morrissey, general agent for Modern Midways who provied the venue.

“This is our eighth annual Holiday Carnival to benefit Temple Beth Shalom,” he said. “We have some new exciting rides that have not been there before, like Fireball – it is like sitting in the center of an egg beater – and the Power Surge. That’s another very big ride; the arm swings up as it turns, quite a unique experience.

“Of course, we have all the family favorites – bumper cars, the Scrambler, Spider and midway booths. We will also have a large Kiddie Land as well.”

You can get a wristband with a coupon from the Cape Coral Breeze Saturday, Dec. 1, edition for $20, without they are $25 regular price, good for unlimited rides all day.

“We also have individual ride tickets as well.”

Thursday and Friday hours are 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday the fun starts at 2 p.m., and lasts until 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday.
