Sanctuary Golf club general manager Ken Kouril and executive chef Mark Brown hold the Achievement of Excellence Award they received from the American Culinary Federation.

The American Culinary Federation (ACF) recently presented Sanibel’s Sanctuary Golf Club with the Achievement of Excellence Award.

This award honors properties that demonstrate excellence and passion for the culinary arts through their unparalleled food and beverage program.

ACF National President, Michael Ty, CEC, AAC, presented the award to Sanctuary general manager Ken Kouril and executive chef Mark Brown at the ACF National Convention in Orlando.

“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award,” said Brown. “The Sanctuary Golf Club, food and beverage team takes great pride in every detail from food quality to plate presentation and ergonomics to customer service. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and talent are outstanding and it is a pleasure to work with them.”

The Sanctuary is one of 11 award recipients for 2012.

“This award recognizes the Sanctuary Golf Club and its culinary team for their commitment to excellence,” Kouril said. “It is a culmination of the accomplishments of executive chef Mark Brown and his team, their peers recommending them, the menu concept, and our other awards and recognitions.”
