Miracle open season on April 4

The Fort Myers Miracle open their 22nd Florida State League season at Hammond Stadium on April 4, the first of 140 games scheduled in 151 days through Sept. 1.

The schedule includes five fireworks nights among the Miracle’s 70 home dates. The season-opening game is against the Bradenton Marauders.

The team travel to Bradenton the next day with the Miracle returning home to finish the series with the Marauders and a fireworks show on Saturday, April 6.

“We are tremendously excited for the onset of another season of Miracle Baseball,” said Miracle general manager Andrew Seymour, “We’ve got a terrific staff in place that are eager to dazzle and entertain Southwest Florida with a wealth of fun-filled promotions.”

Start times for games at Hammond Stadium in 2013 are 7:05 p.m. for games Monday through Friday. Saturday games start at 6:05 p.m. and Sunday games start at 4:05 p.m., except for 2:35 p.m. on April 16 when the Miracle host a doubleheader with an NCAA Division I matchup.

The Miracle open the doubleheader against the Palm Beach Cardinals at 2:35 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by the Florida Gators and FGCU Eagles.

The Miracle have 11 home dates in April, 16 in May, 13 in June, 17 in July, 12 in August and conclude the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 1 at home against Bradenton. The schedule also features 11 Thursday games, 10 Friday dates and 11 Saturday night games.

Ticket prices in advance for 2013 remain the same: $8.50 ($9.50 for fireworks nights) for box seats/drink rail seating and $6.50 ($7.50 for fireworks nights) for general admission/law seating sections. All ticket prices increase by $1 on the day of game.
