Sanibel Neighbors Club hosts first Rally

By Staff | Nov 9, 2012

The Sanibel Neighbors Club holds its first member rally of the upcoming season at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Cip’s Place.

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the theme of this rally is “welcome back and giving thanks.”

“The Sanibel Neighbors Club encourages all members to live local, give local, buy local,” said Jason LaManna, co-founder of the Sanibel Neighbors Club. “In keeping with this, the club donates $5 of every new member’s fee to the island non-profit of their choice. Wednesday’s rally is designed to thank members for their generosity and welcome seasonal members back to the island.”

During the evening, the 18 local charities members have selected will be presented with their donations.

The rally is open to all members and anyone wishing to join the club.

Cip’s, located at 2055 Periwinkle Way, extends its happy hour discounts on the drink menu throughout the evening and offers 10 percent off on members’ entire dinner bill.

The Sanibel Neighbors Club is a loyalty program for Sanibel residents that offers weekly specials from island businesses. Club members receive a club card that entitles them to member specials offered by all of the contributing businesses. New specials are added weekly. All specials are posted on the club website and emailed directly to members. There are now more than 400 members and 50 participating businesses that provide benefits and discounts to members.
