Gulfshore Ballet sets ‘Enchanted Evening’

By Staff | Oct 26, 2012

Gulfshore Ballet, Southwest Florida’s premier classical ballet school, invites the public to attend its “Enchanted Evening with Gulfshore Ballet” at Saks Fifth Avenue in Fort Myers on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 6-8 p.m.

This holiday event benefits Lee County’s only not-for-profit school of classical ballet.

Under the artistic direction of Franklin Gamero and Iliana Lopez, former principal dancers of the Miami City Ballet, Gulfshore Ballet students will present an evening of vignettes from the classic production of The Nutcracker. The holidays will come to life with informal modeling of holiday fashions by Saks Fifth Avenue and Gulfshore Ballet dancers modeling the Nutcracker costumes. The evening also includes holiday music, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Saks will donate 10 percent of sales that evening, up to a total of $10,000, to Gulfshore Ballet. Proceeds from the event will help fund Gulfshore Ballet’s activities to include providing scholarships to Gulfshore Ballet students.

Tickets for “Enchanted Evening with Gulfshore Ballet” are $35 or a donation of $100 or more for a VIP ticket. VIP tickets include a $25 Saks Fifth Avenue gift card, champagne reception, and more. Reservations should be made in advance through www.gsballet.org or 239-590-6191.
