Barge Party VI this weekend at Two Pines Sand Bar
Another band has been added to the lineup for Sandbar Productions LLC Barge Party VI this weekend at Two Pines Sand Bar.
Barge Party VI will benefit the Bobby Holloway Memorial Fund, as well as raise funds to start a youth soccer league for Pine Island.
Jim Frock, with Sandbar Productions, said he now has music for all the country music fans out there as well from the Grayson Rogers Band.
“They are going to open the show for us,” he said.
Deb & The Dynamics and Ground Zero will also perform at the party set for Saturday, Sept. 29, from noon until 6 p.m. In the event of rain, the party will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30.
The party will be held just inside the sandbar of the Matlacha Pass, 1?2 mile east of marker #79. Individuals generally anchor their boats during the event and personal floating devices are brought, so individuals can enjoy some time in the water.
Frock said there will be low tide when everyone is entering the sandbar
“So everyone please watch the grass flats, it’s hard to see because the water is dirty,” he said.
Although there is no admission fee, donations are encouraged for those who attend the event. The donations include $20 per boat or $5 per individual.
Individuals from the Bobby Holloway Memorial Fund will be out on the water on kayaks, paddleboards and anything that floats.
Individuals are encouraged to bring whatever they can for shade. In addition, those who attend should bring anything they need for that day in terms of food and drinks because nothing will be sold during the event.
Frock wants to remind everyone to take their trash with them when they leave the sandbar.
The sponsors for the event include Micelis; Low Key Tiki; Carmen’s Kayak’s; Olde Fish House Marina; Bert’s Bar & Grill; Seven Seas Bait and Tackle; Traders Hitching Post; Island Crab Company; York Road Marina; Bridgewater Inn; B.M.I. Marine Construction; Pete & Sneek A Peak Blind Company; Vital Care Home Health; Ada’s Natural Foods; Shore Line Lumber; Team Davenport; Bubba’s Roadhouse & Saloon; Capt’n Con’s Fish House; Matlacha Hookers and Cornbread Mafia.
