Fort Myers High graduate Meghan Collins (second from left) received a $2,500 P.E.O. Star Scholarship which she will apply to her study of psychology at Florida State University. P.E.O. Chapter FV of Sanibel members with Collins are Linda Uhler (left), Jaye Boswell and president Sherry Vartdal (right). It is the second year in a row that a student nominated by Chapter FV won the scholarship on a nationwide basis. Collins founded the PACE Sisters program at the local PACE Center for Girls, recruiting middle and high school girls to act as role models for girls enrolled in the PACE program. The P.E.O. Sisterhood has 6,000 chapters in North America with more than 350,000 members.
