A Cape Coral man reported that his work truck, which contained several power tools and hand tools, was stolen from the driveway of his home.

Officers responded Tuesday morning to an auto theft report in the 1900 block of Southwest 31st Terrace. A man stated that someone removed his black Ford F-350 truck, which bears the tag 7607GD, without permission.

The man last saw the truck in his driveway at about 10 p.m. Monday.

He said his wallet, which contained his driver’s license, Social Security card, credit cards, cash and other forms of identification, was inside of the truck, along with countless power tools and hands tools worth more than $2,000.

According to a police report, the tools include three Dewalt battery-powered drills, a Dewalt circular saw, a Dewalt rotor, a Dewalt grinder, three Dewalt battery chargers and six Dewalt batteries, in addition to two Makita grinders.

The man said the truck has a pretty loud engine, but it is not diesel.

He stated that he will press charges.
