The Florida Everblades take a 2-1 lead in the ECHL Kelly Cup Finals best-of-seven series into Tuesday night’s Game 4 against the Las Vegas Wranglers at Germain Arena.

The Everblades, who have won two games in a row after dropping Game 1 in Las Vegas, are looking for their first Kelly Cup championship in their third appearance in the ECHL finals.

Matt Marquardt provided the winning goal in Game 3 Friday night at Germain Arena with six minutes left in overtime to seal a 4-3 come-from-behind victory.

Mike Ratchuk got the Everblades going 8 1/2 minutes into the first period with the first goal.

The 1-0 lead lasted until the start of the second period when the Wranglers struck twice quickly to take a 2-1 lead.

Florida’s Ryan McGinnis knotted the game at 2-2 three minutes into the period, but the Wranglers answered with their third score of the period to take a 3-2 lead to the final period.

The Blades’ Justin Shugg tied the contest with less than four minutes left in regulation time and force overtime.

Everblades goaltender John Muse stopped 32 of 35 shots he faced while Wranglers goalie Joe Fallon saved 30 of 34 shots.
