Sally-Jane Heit took the stage Saturday night in an amazing performance of “Before I Forget..A Memoir with Music” before more than 100 audience members at the Sanctuary Golf Club. This funny and often poignant “memoir with music” is a mini-Broadway show built around Heit’s life and some of its experiences.

“She is talented and generous,” said Erik Linblad, executive director of the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation. “You will get to hear about her wonderful life (during the show).”

Heit’s one-woman production benefited SCCF, which is a foundation close to the actress’ heart. Following her performance, there was a decadent dessert buffet with champagne and coffee for all to enjoy. Copies of famous photographer and Heit’s niece Annie Leibovitz’s latest book “Pilgrimage” were raffled to a few lucky winners.
