CCPD looking to identify person of interest

The Cape Coral Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in a check fraud investigation.

On Jan. 12 and Feb. 5, a woman attempted to receive cash by passing checks that did not belong to her. Both incidents occurred at the Publix Supermarket, located at 100 Hancock Bridge Parkway W.

Anyone with information also can contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
