There it is!!

Recent news reports have accounted of local interest to acquire the 1924 Sears “Kit” home of Shore Haven for relocation to the grounds of the Sanibel Museum and Historic Village. As part of the process, studies have been conducted to determine the home’s historic significance, especially since it has undergone modifications over its more than 85 year-long life span. Those modifications have included the installation of vinyl siding. During a recent inspection of the home, Museum Director Alex Werner discovered the home’s original clapboard exterior had been preserved beneath the vinyl siding. That discovery will now add to what many expect will be further push to acquire the home and convert it into needed gallery and office space at the historic village.
