Cape police ask for assistance identifying robbery suspect

The Cape Coral Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a gunman who held up a Walgreens Pharmacy on Cape Coral Parkway on New Year’s Eve.

The unidentified white male entered the Walgreens at 905 Cape Coral Parkway East at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and approached the pharmacy counter. The man handed the pharmacist a note stating that he was robbing the business. He demanded the prescription drug Oxycodone. The suspect then pointed to a sliver handgun that was hidden inside of his sleeve.

The gunman took several bottles of the narcotic and fled the store.
