First Fridays at the library

By Staff | Dec 23, 2011

The popular “First Friday Stories for Grown Ups” will open its season Jan. 6 at the Sanibel Public Library. The first storyteller will be Sid Simon, who won the Lee County Alliance for the Arts Literary Artist of the Year award for 2011 partially because of stories for grown ups.

Like all First Fridays, the designated storyteller will wow the audience for the first half of the afternoon, then stories are delightfully drawn from the audience by the good Dr. Simon who has wit and kindness that always makes it easy.

You don’t have to be a storyteller to enjoy this event, which will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Jan. 6 at the library.
