A motorcyclist has been released from the hospital following a traffic accident earlier this month that involved a Cape Coral driver.
On Nov. 6, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a crash in the 4800 block of Cleveland Avenue that involved a 1995 Toyota Corolla and a motorcycle, which had been traveling north on Cleveland at the time.
The Toyota, driven by Candace Cohowcz, 27, of 3721 S.W. 12th Ave., had been traveling south. According to police, Cohowcz tried to make a left-hand turn, crossing the northbound lanes and colliding into the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, Jamie Hughery, 32, of Fort Myers, was trauma alerted to Lee Memorial Hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Cohowcz, who sustained minor injuries, was also taken to the hospital, along with her passenger, Mario Andrew Arnez, 23, of 1423 Kelp Lane, Naples.
As of Wednesday, Hughery had been discharged from the hospital.
Cohowcz and Arnez were treated and released following the accident.
