By Staff | Nov 2, 2011

A Cape Coral electric company reported a trailer missing Sunday.

Cape police responded to a report of a theft at Gulf Coast Electric, at 870 S.E. 47th St. According to a police report, the business owner said that when he arrived at 11 a.m., the 6-by-12-foot enclosed aluminum trailer was gone.

The trailer is painted bright green with Golf Coast Electric in white lettering on both sides of it. The trailer is worth approximately $4,500.

The owner added that several pieces of construction equipment – valued at about $6,000 in total – were located inside of the trailer when it was taken.

The items are an electric hammer, acetylene torch, a table saw, portable compressor, deck box, wheel barrow, chain saw, gas tree trimmer, wire rack, plumbing tools, welding machine and four extension cords.

The owner last saw the trailer Saturday evening parked in its usual spot in a vacant lot on the side of the building. He said it was backed up to the building.

The trailer has the license plate J003ZU.
