A riding lawn mower was reported stolen from a Cape Coral business.

Police responded to a report of a burglary Tuesday in the 2700 block of Skyline Boulevard. According to a report, the owner of the lawn equipment company stated someone took the mower from the back of her business.

The burglar apparently cut the lock on the back gate to gain entry.

The mower is described as a red, 2008 Toro commercial riding mower.

It is valued at approximately $7,966, according to the report.

The woman reported that the mower belonged to a customer of the business, a landscaping company located out of Alva. Both the woman and the owner of the mower informed police that they would press charges.
