The Coffee Bar @ Bailey’s will be featuring the “Lily Snowball” during October as its special Drink of the Month, and 10 percent of the drink’s proceeds will go to F.I.S.H. of Sanibel.

The Lily Snowball is a Mocha Bianca Latte with coconut flavor, available either as a hot or a cold beverage. The baristas at the Coffee Bar designed the drink to be an “island favorite” as it includes light, tropical flavors that remind you of Sanibel.

Since February, the Coffee Bar @ Bailey’s has offered the “Lily Snowball” as part of the Lily and Co. Jewelers campaign to give back to island not-for-profit organizations. The campaign also includes other island restaurants, each of whom has created their own Lily special drink and they benefit the charity of their choice. Some other participants in the year-long promotion include George and Wendy’s Corner Grill, Timbers and Over Easy Cafe.

Coffee Bar felt it was an appropriate time to feature the Lily special as October is an important month for F.I.S.H., as they raise funds for the organization through their 10K race, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Coffee Bar team, who has been in training for the F.I.S.H. 10K race for over a month, has two goals: to beat their race times from last year and to raise more money for FISH.

“This is our second year having a team for the F.I.S.H. 10K,” said Coffee Bar manager Quinton Foshee. “We wanted to feature the Snowball because F.I.S.H. is an organization we truly believe in, and want to help out as much as possible. Every little bit counts.”

Team members have also been bringing in canned goods to help fill the Food Pantry at F.I.S.H., which is always in need.
