Police investigating theft

Nearly $6,000 in items were reported stolen Tuesday from a home.

Cape Coral police responded to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of Southeast 27th Street. A man stated that he returned home from work to find that his laptop was missing, along with other electronics and jewelry.

The stolen items are valued at $5,800, according to a police report.

The man provided police with a name of a possible suspect.
