The Art League of Fort Myers (ALFM) Art Show, “Time of Transition,” opens on Sept. 2 and runs through Sept. 24.

The Show’s opening night reception will be held on Art Walk night, Sept. 2. The reception, which is open to the public, will be held at the ALFM gallery from 6 to 8 p.m. and presents an opportunity to view the show, meet artists from the Fort Myers area, and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Winning entries in the Time of Transition Show are:

Second Place: “Shacks on Tissue” (Watercolor) by Barbara Chloe Murdoch

Third Place: “La Vie en Rose” (Mixed Media) by Marie Mutz

Merit Award: “Z L Nucleus” (Photograph) by William Hofer

Honorable Mention: “Blue Crate” (Digital Art) by James Leese

The Show was judged by working artist and teacher Ron Sanders, whose art background includes being named associate designer for the U.S. Mint and winning many art awards including The American Artist Magazine Cover competition.
