Sanibel City Hall will be closed in observance of Labor Day, on Monday, Sept. 5, and will resume regular office hours on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Refuse, recycling and vegetation waste collection by Veolia Environmental Services scheduled for Labor Day will be one day later. Therefore, if your normal pick-up day is Monday, Sept. 5, your waste will be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 6. The altered schedule will remain in place for the remainder of the week. The normal waste collection schedule will resume on Monday, Sept. 12.

The Sanibel Recreation Center will operate normal business hours and maintain all land and water aerobics classes on Labor Day from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. All regular classes will be held. Lap Pool is open from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Water Features Pool & Splash Pad will be open from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m. Special member guest and visitor rates are available. The Sanibel Recreation Center After School Program will not operate in observance of Labor Day and will resume on Tuesday.
