Clinic reports cases of possible doctor shopping
Two instances of alleged doctor shopping were reported Tuesday by a pain clinic in southeast Cape Coral, according to police reports.
At about 2 p.m., the Cape police responded to the Sar Pain Institute, at 506 S.E. 47th Terrace. The office manager stated that a man came in on June 22 and failed to report that he had seen other doctors and gotten medications.
The officer manager also reported that a man came in on July 28 and failed to report that he had been to other doctors and had received medications.
He told police that he believed these are possible cases of doctor shopping.
The patients’ paperwork was placed into evidence, the reports state.
