Guns, jewelry reported stolen

Six firearms were reported stolen from a home in the southwest area of the city.

Cape Coral police responded Tuesday to a report of a burglary in the 4300 block of Southwest 13th Avenue. According to a report, a woman returned home to find the screen cut on the side garage door and the door open.

The home appeared to have been rummaged through and items were gone.

The missing firearms included a 12-gauge Remington shotgun, a 16-gauge Winchester shotgun, a 16-gauge Stevens shotgun, a Winchester level action rifle, a Browning Bolt action rifle and a Taurus revolver pistol.

Also stolen was a 46-inch flat screen television and $5,000 in jewelry.

The items are valued at about $10,850 in total, according to the report.
