Craft Beer Festival debuts Saturday at Hammond Stadium

By Staff | Aug 11, 2011

Whether you’re a beer aficionado or just a baseball fan looking to quench your thirst, the inaugural Miracle Baseball Craft Beer Festival is the place for you! The fun-times will flow from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Hammond Stadium.

The Miracle host the Palm Beach Cardinals at 6:05 p.m. and fireworks will follow the festive evening.

The tasting event gives connoisseurs the opportunity to “Be Your Own Fan” with a wide variety of beers from some of the best craft brewers in the country, including Killebrew Root Beer. The event’s title sponsor will be sampling root beer, along with other craft beers from their brewery in Minnesota.

Tickets for two hours of unlimited sampling and a general admission ticket to that night’s Miracle game are only $20.

“This event is a great in-season compliment to the popular winter time Ballpark Festival of Beers. We are excited to include this around a game and to add our makeup fireworks show from July 1, makes it even more of an event,” said Miracle General Manager Steve Gliner.

Beer, baseball and boom – all in the perfect venue of Hammond Stadium.

Sampling options include Killebrew Root Beer, Abita Purple Haze, Avery White Rascal, Bells Oberon, Sierra Kellerweiss, Flying Dog Tire Bite, Oskar Blues Dales Pale Ale, Ballast Point Big Eye IPA, Ballast Point Sculpin, Bells Two Hearted, Cigar City Jai Alai, Cigar City Cubano Expresso, Sierra Torpedo, Brooklyn Lager, Crispin Cider, Margaritaville Spiked Tea, Margaritaville Spiked Lemonade, Shocktop Raspberry Wheat, Beach Bum Blonde, Kona Wailua Wheat, Wild Blue, Michelob Lime Cactus, Bacardi Mojito, Woodchuck Summer Cider, Capital Fest, Capital Supperclub, Magic Hat Wacko, Gordon Biersch Sommerbrau, Blue Point Summer Ale and Victory Headwaters Pale Ale.
