Ambrose to address Gulf Coast Writers on Aug. 20
Marty Ambrose, Edison State College professor and author of The Mango Bay Mysteries series, will unlock the secrets of mystery novel writing for the Gulf Coast Writers Association on Saturday, Aug. 20 beginning at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at Fellowship Hall of Zion Lutheran Church, located at 7401 Winkler Road in Fort Myers.
Her presentation, entitled “Writing the Traditional Mystery,” will cover the creation of an amateur sleuth, the plotting of a traditional mystery and the devising of a “community” of characters for a mystery series.
Professor Ambrose has worked at Edison State College for more than two decades as a professor of English, Communications Chair, and now as Assessment Coordinator. She is presently working on “Tropical Trouble,” the fifth book in her mystery series.
