Readers of cape-coral-daily-breeze.com and its sister sites will notice revamped, more dynamic, more reader-focused sites.

For the last several years the sites have grown to become the premiere sites for news and information throughout Cape Coral and the other communities Breeze Newspapers serves. Thousands of readers a day flock to the sites to read both current and archived stories, to share their comments with other readers, to express their opinions in polls, to search for employment and to upload photos to CU, the photo-sharing portion of the site.

Our new sites build on the sites they replace while adding some exciting new features.

With the changes come a new modern look. When readers explore the new sites they will find a score of enhanced features that include:

* Better calendars. The next upcoming event will display not only on the home page, but on category pages through the sites.

* User comments and forums. Users were free to comment on most stories they read on the old sites. This important interactive feature continues. We have added reader forums to give readers an additional place to comment on whatever topics they choose. Readers have left thousands of comments on our sites in the last two years, the forums are an additional way that readers can share their views with others. Readers can also “vote” if they agree or disagree with comments left by others.

* Registration. Registration is required to leave comments. Our registered members can keep track of what categories they have left comments in as well as sign up for free e-mail alerts. They can even save stories for later review.

* Blogs. The blogs on the sites have an improved presentation allowing the reader to quickly know when there is a new post on the site.

* Read the news when and where you want. The sites now have an improved mobile edition that features more stories that you can access via your cell phone to make it easier for you to read and share stories anywhere.

Advertising options also have been improved on the sites.

Local businesses now have more options to get their messages across, including more, and larger ad sizes.
