Air-conditioning unit stolen from Cape home

An air-conditioning unit has been stolen from a southwest Cape Coral home, according to a police report.
On Sunday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 1600 block of Southwest 15th Avenue. A woman reported that the copper piping and inside wires to the home’s air conditioner were cut and the unit was removed.
The Rheem air conditioner has an estimated valued of about $5,000.
The woman reported that everything was fine with the property on June 17.
