Readers are invited to discuss “The Bridge of Sighs” by author Richard Russo, which is the focus of the Wednesday, July 27 book discussion meeting at the Sanibel Public Library, located at 770 Dunlop Road.

The meeting is free and open to the public. The discussion will begin at 2 p.m. in the Meeting Room 4 (across from the elevator). Bunny Ospa will be the leader for the discussion.

In “The Bridge of Sighs,” Lucy (Lou C.) and his wife are taking a trip to Italy, where Lucy’s oldest friend, a famous artist, now lives. The exact nature of their friendship is one of the many mysteries Lucy hopes to untangle in the history he’s writing of his hometown and family.

Discussion of the book begins promptly at 2 p.m. The book is available and located in the library near the reference desk. While it is preferable to come having read the book to be able to join in the lively discussion, all are welcome. If you have questions, please call the library at 472-2483.
