Longtime Sanibel resident Olga Palmer passed away on May 5, 2011 at the age of 100. Olga had been recently acknowledged for her contributions to Sanibel by the City Council.

Olga and her husband, Urban Palmer, lived past age 100 years. Both were long-time city activist residents, honored with “Lifetime Membership” in the Shell Harbor Property Owners Association (SHPOA) of Sanibel.

A memorial service for Olga will be held this Saturday, July 9 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ, 2050 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, FL 33957. A reception will follow the service in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
