Pavel & Blackwood Tennis Academy offers junior tennis camp

By Staff | Jul 1, 2011

Pavel & Blackwood Tennis Academy will hold a high-performance junior tennis camp at the Sundial Beach and Golf Resort on Sanibel from July 11-15.

In addition to providing a tournament training group for ages 10 to 18 to concentrate on competitive play development, and a QuickStart program focused on athletic skills for ages 5 to 10, this camp offers a significant warm-up training ground for national junior level players, ages 12 to 18, competing in the USTA Super Nationals Clay Court Junior Tennis Championships the following week at various east coast locations.

PBTA’s main campus in Arizona expects many of its top national junior level players to attend this Florida camp.

“This camp is open to the public,” said camp director and academy founder Nick Blackwood. “And space will be limited. If you’re interested in attending, you need to sign up right away.

“Offering this high-performance tennis camp at one of our Sanibel satellite campuses the week prior to the championships is in keeping with Pavel and Blackwood Tennis Academy’s philosophy that successful tennis players are the ones who are prepared mentally and physically,” Blackwood said.

Rates for the national junior level, tournament training group and QuickStart program are as follows:
