Summer food distribution Wednesday
The Harry Chapin Food Bank, CCMI, The Salvation Army, United Way, United Way 211, and other human service agencies will hold the second of 15 summer food distributions on Wednesday, June 22, at the Cape Coral United Way House, 1105 Cultural Park Blvd., from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
The first distribution last week in Bonita Springs served over 300 families.
Harry Chapin Food Bank will provide food to those in need and the CCMI will be providing hot meals for the day. Catholic Charities and Harry Chapin Food Bank will assist those eligible for the Food Stamp Program through ACCESS. United Way 211 will provide information and referral to human services available in the area.
Reservations must be made before the event. For more information on the upcoming food distribution dates and locations, call United Way 211 by dialing 2-1-1 or 239-433-3900.
In addition to raising funds for human service organizations in our community, the United Way promotes partnerships and collaborations among agencies, helping them to work together focusing on issues and solutions that continue to improve lives.
