One of area’s “Most Wanted” apprehended
A tip to Crime Stoppers led deputies to 3005 6th St., West, in Lehigh Acres where Sandy Forrester was taken into custody for her role in a brutal robbery, carjacking and beating nearly three weeks ago. She was arrested Wednesday, June 15, at 10 p.m., and has been charged with carjacking with a firearm, aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
Forrester, 22, was being sought for her role in the assault, which occurred on May 28 in Pine Manor. According to detectives, Forrester was accompanied by two unknown black males, who were both armed with semi-automatic handguns. The victim was in his car, at a stop sign when Forrester and the two other men approached him, and forced him out of the car at gunpoint. Forrester reportedly brought the victim into a nearby apartment, where the victim was robbed, beaten and had his hands and mouth duct-taped.
When the trio allegedly attempted to put the victim into a car to bring him to an unknown location, the victim managed to escape and ran to a nearby house for help.
Forrester, and the two men, fled the scene — possibly in a blue 1993 Buick four-door car.
Ironically, the robbery occurred just over 24 hours after Forrester had been released from jail for grand theft auto and drug possession the night prior, on May 27.
On June 9, Forrester was added to the area’s “Most Wanted List.”
