Three local officers attend national meetings

Judie Anderson, President, Glen Simmons, President-elect, and Jim Hall, Immediate Past President, of the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors recently represented their local organization at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo in Washington, D.C.

The group attending various NAR committee meetings, forums and roundtables on topics such as board leadership, multiple listing services and policy and professional standards.

Key speakers discussed additional issues such as home ownership, the economy and market conditions and business technology and information.

Furthermore, Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio met with Realtors to discuss and express concern about issues influencing the real estate profession.

The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors is one of 1,600 local boards and associations of Realtors nationwide that comprise the National Association of Realtors. As the nation’s largest trade association, NAR is “The Voice for Real Estate,” representing more than one million members involved in all aspects of the real estate profession.
