Island Inn appoints new VP of administration and finance

On Monday, the Island Inn, the most established inn on Sanibel, announced the appointment of Stephen Hatfield to the position of Vice President of Administration and Finance. Stephen joins the management team at the Inn at a time of rapid growth and development, as the Inn has recently completed phase one of a major refurbishment program.

Island Inn has had consistently strong bookings throughout the season and its summer bookings are also looking very positive.

“I am really looking forward to getting to know more about Sanibel and about the day-to-day operations at Island Inn,” said Hatfield. “So far, I am very impressed with everything I see and I look forward to the challenge of this new position.”

Hatfield, a Finance graduate of the University of Louisville, Kentucky, has had wide ranging experience in the hospitality, financial and real estate sectors in Florida spanning more than 12 years.

“We are very pleased to welcome Stephen to our management team at Island Inn” said Chris Davison, Head of Operations. “He brings with him significant financial and management experience that will be invaluable to us. Stephen has excellent people skills, as well as his financial and administration expertise – something we value highly at Island Inn.”

Built in 1895, the Island Inn is the most established Inn on Sanibel and Captiva. Their spacious rooms and cottages feature large screened porches with views of the gulf. It also features a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, Florida room, fireplace, newly renovated bar and award-winning restaurant, Traditions on the Beach.
