John Grey Painting becomes sponsor of F.I.S.H. 10K race
F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Here) of Sanibel announced today that John Grey Painting will take a Silver Sponsorship for the 2011 F.I.S.H. 10K annual race. The race will take place on Sanibel on Saturday, Oct. 15 starting at the Sanibel Community House and following a 10-kilometer circuit around the island before finishing back at the Sanibel Community House.
John Grey Painting, the leading high quality painting and faux finish company on the islands, has been a major supporter of community events on Sanibel and Captiva. They are a first time Silver Sponsor of the F.I.S.H. 10K this year, and John Grey Painting is also planning to enhance their sponsorship by putting forward a running team to take part in the event.
“We have been a long term supporter of F.I.S.H.,” said John Grey, founder of the company. “They do an important job helping our island neighbors – they provide a wide range of services for people in need and we admire the work they do.”
The race begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way. This year, there will also be a trade exposition, aimed at runners, their families, supporters and friends. There will be refreshment tables at the Community House and water stations along the running circuit for the runners.
The F.I.S.H. 10K Race, is being held in conjunction with the Fort Myers Track Club and is expected to attract more than 400 runners this year.
