Future of automobiles to be displayed on Sanibel

By Staff | Apr 26, 2011

Next week at the Sanibel Community House, you can hear experts and users talk about the future of the electric car. Whether it is the latest $3 million Rolls Royce entirely powered by batteries, the little GEM cars that you see whizzing about the island or the amazing Tesla sports car — which can reach 60 mph in 3.9 seconds – you can hear what the experts think and talk to users about their experiences.

The Tesla, Chrysler’s GEM cars and the new Lexus hybrid RX450h (pictured) will be on display at the SARR meeting, to be held on Thursday, May 5 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way.

Membership of SARR is free and the meeting is open to all.

For more information, contact Mark Anderson, Chair of SARR, or Jeremy Kane, Secretariat of SARR, online at www.sanibelenergy.com or by calling 472-3400.
