Dunes Men's Golf Association President Jack Roberts, left, presents a check to John Frymoyer, one of the founders of Lee County Supporting Our Troops.

The annual DMGA Charity Shoot-Out, held after their monthly luncheon on April 13, was an exciting, down-to-the-wire event again this year. In a shoot-out format, one player is eliminated at each hole.

The participants — plus a few generous members who contributed money even though they didn’t play — raised $500, which will be donated to the outstanding organization Lee County Supporting Our Troops.

Highlight’s of last Wednesday’s golf event:

• Phil Pilibosian won the Gold Tee Shoot-Out on the seventh hole, besting Bob Lindman who was the runner-up.

• Bob Rohl won the White Tee Shoot-Out on a ninth hole tie breaking chip-off over runner-up Gordon Rains.

DMGA President, Jack Roberts congratulated all the participants, pronouncing Lee County Supporting Our Troops “the real winners.”
